In the midst of the chaos surrounding the race for the atomic bomb during WWII, talented physicist and engineering savant Peter Valenti is recruited to Los Alamos where he must work under absolute secrecy to create an atomic bomb before anyone else does. But Peter's fears are compounded by his concern for his brother Courtney Valenti, a cocky ace pilot who is flying planes over the Pacific while Peter remains safe on the ground.
