Kadya, a student of Natural Sciences, leaves her younger sister, Dominique, in her foster home in London when she returns to Cambridge University after the winter vacation. Kadya is keen to get back to her studies. But just as she is offered the chance to make a proposal for a PhD, Dominique turns up and disrupts her life. As Dominique becomes increasingly interested in Kadya's studies, the sisters become closer and Kadya starts to let in memories of their shared history.
