Kate Mickere is a writer and performer pursuing an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, where she is a recipient of the Steven Bochco fellowship. Her play, A Banshee Killed My Boyfriend, recently received a reading at the PSP Festival in New York City. She has performed sketch comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in NYC and Frankly Scarlett Comedy in Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and has studied with the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, UK. Kate Mickere was awarded a Screenwriting grant at Carnegie Mellon in 2012 for The Diamond in the Sky.
