Alison Marek
Alison Marek won a Director's Award for her Sloan-sponsored short, The Three-Body Solution in 2010. Her thesis film for her MFA in directing from New York University, The Playground, won a production grant from Showtime Networks, Inc., and was broadcast on their stations in 2003. Her short comedy, Red Wagon, has appeared in festivals around the world, won Best Fantasy Comedy 2nd place at Dragon*Con and was nominated for best short awards at Cinema Paradise and Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival. She is the author/illustrator of the graphic novels Desert Streams and Sparrow (Piranha Press/DC Comics). She has also directed and/or produced more than 3,000 short videos for the web. Alison Marek was awarded a Production grant at NYU in 2004 for The Three Body Solution
