Inspired by real events, The Chamber is a historical thriller placed in 1950s Moscow, following the life of Grigory Mairanovsky, prodigious chemist and scientist who is lured by Stalin's secret police to direct a governmental poison research facility, often referred to as "The Chamber." When Stalin orders political assassinations around the country, using espionage and poison, Mairanovsky will question the moral and ethical implications of his actions, leading him into a conspiracy to murder Stalin himself.
