Out of the Blue Maggie Tran

Scarlett is a recluse with an unusual ability: she sees colors when she hears sounds and hears sounds when she sees colors. Jack is a jazz pianist who, having recently kicked his heroin habit, has lost his creative compass. As upstairs/downstairs neighbors, the lives of Jack and Scarlett begin to intermingle. Music permeates the walls between them. Jack finds his muse, and Scarlett finds the courage to leave her apartment.
