Permeable is the story is about a young inner city high school biology teacher who on the eve of a large immigrant march through the city, must deal with the sudden absence of his star pupil, an undocumented Salvadoran immigrant, and decide whether to accept a more lucrative research position or continue teaching and live with the frustration of trying to reach his students.
