Norman Yi Li

Norman Yi Li is a writer-director based in Vancouver, BC. He is an alum of the Pacific Screenwriting Program, where he wrote an episode for an original series created by Will Pascoe, later optioned by Skydance Media. Norman has participated in the Sloan Science and Technology Project Pitch at the Toronto International Film Festival and was selected as a writer-in-residence for the WBD Access x Canadian Academy Writers Program. He was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival Script Competitions, and his short films have been featured at the Whistler Film Festival and the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. He has worked as a writers’ assistant on Netflix’s hit series THE NIGHT AGENT and as a writers’ intern on the Canadian series SIGHT UNSEEN. With a background in cognitive sciences, Norman’s work delves into the complexities of the human psyche, the evolution of identity, and the social impacts of emerging technologies. He is represented by the Independent Artist Group.
