Brittany Wang

Brittany Wang is a Chinese-American screenwriter, born in Tianjin, China and raised in suburban Maryland. A child of divorced immigrant parents, Brittany initially pursued certain accomplishments -- namely, an economics degree from UCLA and a corporate consulting career at KPMG -- which left her discontented. So, she went on to live in a yurt on a Hawaiian homestead and trek a 200-mile pilgrimage across Spain. Armed with these dichotomous life experiences, Brittany now writes about the dissatisfied and disillusioned. Her stories explore how outsiders seek to redefine life, work, and fulfillment on their own terms.

Brittany received her MFA in Writing for Screen and Television from the University of Southern California. She is based in Los Angeles, where she splits her time working as a financial advisor for public transportation authorities and leading screenwriting workshops through Asian Culture and Media Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to showcasing and amplifying Asian-American voices.
