Mia Mullarkey
Mia Mullarkey specialized in behaviorism and neuropsychology, working as a behavioral psychologist with children in Ireland and Sri Lanka. This inspired her shift to filmmaking, where she directed award-winning neuroscience documentaries like FEATS OF MODEST VALOUR and MOOD ATLAS, both broadcast on RTÉ. In 2020, Mia earned a first-class master’s in screenwriting from IADT and moved into drama directing. Her short THE PASSION was IFTA-nominated, and Safe as Houses won gold at YDA, Cannes Lions 2023. Currently, she is in pre-production for TV series HIDDEN ASSETS and writing her debut feature LUCID Named one of Screen International’s 2023 Rising Stars, Mia has received over 80 awards and nominations, including two Gold YDAs at Cannes Lions.
