Amanda Pollak
A senior partner at Insignia Films, Amanda Pollak has been directing, producing and executive producing premium documentaries for over two decades. Her depth of experience with archive-driven storytelling is showcased in over a dozen films and limited series for PBS. Beyond this, she produced INTO THE GRAND CANYON, an environmental adventure story that premiered on National Geographic and is streaming worldwide on Disney+, and also FREE MONEY, which premiered at TIFF and on Netflix in Africa, soon to be released globally. She also executive produced AILEY, an immersive portrait of the renowned choreographer, which premiered at Sundance, was released theatrically by Neon, broadcast on PBS’s AMERICAN MASTERS, and is now streaming on Hulu. Pollak was part of the founding team for RETRO REPORT, an online series of investigative pieces featured in the New York Times and her work has been recognized with three Emmy Awards, a Cine Golden Eagle Award and the George Foster Peabody Award. She holds an MBA from Brown University, where she focused on documentary film finance and distribution.
