Niccolò Bigagli

Niccolò Bigagli is a quantum physicist specialized in the study of ultracold many-body systems. He recently got his PhD from Columbia University, where he worked in the group of Professor Sebastian Will on the creation of molecular samples in the peculiar conditions where quantum mechanical laws become visible. His thesis work peaked with the observation of the world’s first Bose-Einstein condensate of dipolar molecules.

In 2022, Niccolò co-directed with filmmaker Ramey Newell the short film INTERFERENCE PATTERN, which reflected on the various links between quantum physics and filmmaking.
