Sara Crow
Sara Crow is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker whose stories center subcultures and misfits. She is currently an MFA candidate at NYU’s Graduate Film Program, where she is a Martin Scorsese Scholar and the recipient of the Sloan Feature Film Award. Her debut narrative short film “Bluebird” was awarded “Best Short Film” at the Montana International Film Festival and the Black Family Film Prize at NYU. As a documentarian, Sara has produced award-winning nonfiction work for many outlets including HBO, Disney+, and Showtime. Her background in documentary bleeds into her narrative work; Sara loves world-building and diving into secret and little known histories. She is a member of the Brooklyn Filmmaker’s Collective and the Video Consortium.
