Kate Sheffield
Kate is a filmmaker from South Florida where she worked in urban planning prior to switching to film. Most recently, her script, Ray of Life, won the 2022 Athena List, an Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship and was shortlisted for the 2022 Sundance Screenwriting Lab. She wrote, directed and produced the short film, The Big Five, which had its premiere at the 2020 Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. Kate holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and was a screenwriting fellow at the AFI Conservatory. Since then, she has worked in acquisitions at boutique distributors and placed in multiple screenwriting competitions.
