Nuhash Humayun
Nuhash Humayun is a writer, director, and visual artist based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He made his theatrical debut with the anthology film Sincerely Yours, Dhaka (2018) which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival and enjoyed a successful festival run, currently acquired by Netflix. Nuhash is also a fellow of the Asian Film Academy 2019, directing the LGBTQ drama Lipstick (2019).
Nuhash also advocates for humanitarian causes through storytelling as the Communications Advisor for INGO WaterAid Bangladesh. Climate change affecting the developing world, menstrual hygiene, rural sanitation are some pressing issues Nuhash focuses on. Nuhash’s debut narrative feature Moving Bangladesh has been selected for Film Independent: Global Media Makers Workshop, Locarno Film Festival’s Open Doors Consultancy and NFDC Film Bazaar Co-Production Market.
