Lena Vurma
Lena Vurma is an award-winning Swiss producer based in Berlin. She is a graduate of the German Film and Television Academy Berlin, and won the Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Foundation with the animation film THE LITTLE RED PAPER SHIP. Her first feature, LOST PLACE, is a mystery-thriller in 3D and Dolby Atmos which was theatrically released by Warner Bros. For her work, she was nominated for the newcomer producer award by First Steps in 2014.
She produced the debut movie of Indian director Dipesh Jain IN THE SHADOWS which had its world premier at the Busan Int Film Festival in 2017. Her current film is an adaptation of the autobiography ADVENTURES OF A MATHEMATICIAN by Stanislaw Ulam, a German-Polish-Canadian co-production supported by the German-Polish Film Fund, Polish Film Institute & the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Lena is a Tribeca Film Institute and Film Independent Alumni.
She is also Head of Acquisitions for German independent film distributor NFP m&d and acquired titles such as MAUDIE, THE BRAND NEW TESTAMENT, THE LUNCHBOX, and THE SALT OF THE EARTH.
