Marina Sorochinski

Marina Sorochinski is an Investigative Psychologist on the faculty of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice whose main area of specialty and expertise is in applying psychological principles and rigorous empirical methods to improving police investigations in violent crimes. Her research is focused on profiling and behavioral linkage in serial violent crime.

Dr. Sorochinski has worked in collaboration with national and international academic faculty as well as government agencies, including the FBI and South African Police Service. She has presented her research at internationally, at conferences such as those held by the American Society of Criminology, International Association of Investigative Psychology, and the American Psychology and Law Society.
