Dustin Brown
Dustin Brown is a writer/director with a passion for telling character-driven, socially conscious stories. He received his degree in Directing from the American Film Institute. His short film SOLIDARITY was an Official Selection of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival Emerging Filmmaker Showcase, a BAFTA U.S. Student Film Awards Finalist, and won numerous awards including Best Short Film at the San Diego Film Festival and winner of the prestigious Kodak Student Film Scholarship. His AFI thesis film CLARITY received the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Award for a film that “accurately and positively portrays science and technology”, was a Finalist for the VIZIO + Dolby Vision Filmmaker Challenge, and Won Best Short Film at the Highland Park Independent Film Festival. Dustin has adapted SOLIDARITY into a feature script currently in development.
