Ursula Ellis is an NYC-based filmmaker, writer, musician, and actor. She is currently a Columbia University Screenwriting MFA thesis student, expected to graduate in February 2017. In 2012, she received her B.Sc. from Northwestern University in Radio/Television/Film with a minor in European and British History.
She assists in development at Lydia Dean Pilcher's production company, Cine Mosaic (Queen of Katwe, The Darjeeling Limited, Cutie and the Boxer, The Lunchbox). Crick in the Holler, which received an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Production Grant, is her tenth short film. The script for her first feature, Anomalies, was an Academy Nicholls Fellowship quarterfinalist.
