Jennifer Edwards
Though she always knew she wanted to write, Jennifer first pursued other goals, like bringing peace to the Middle East. She completed a BA in Middle Eastern Studies, but while spending her junior year in Egypt, she volunteered to teach English to Ethiopian and Sudanese refugees. From that experience, she decided to become a teacher, and spent 14 years teaching high school in Houston, TX. About six years ago, she began screenwriting, launching her on a new journey that would include working with a screenwriting mentor, reading for the Austin Film Festival and enrolling in the UCLA MFA Screenwriting program.
