Dan Giles

Dan Giles’s plays have been performed or developed at the Kennedy Center, the New York Fringe, the International Student Drama Festival (UK), and the Great Plains Theatre Conference, with short work at Pittsburgh Opera and Williamstown Theatre Festival. Awards and fellowships include an Alfred P. Sloan Screenplay Grant ($15,000 first prize), the American Repertory Theatre's Phyllis Anderson Prize, the Kennedy Center ACTF's John Cauble Award (finalist), and an O'Neill Playwright Observer Residency. This year, his work was featured on The Cutting Ball Theatre's "Risky Playwrights" list and in American Theatre Magazine's article "14 Theatrical Plans to Change the World". He received his AB from Harvard and his MFA from Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, where he studied with Rob Handel. His personal website is dangilesplaywright.weebly.com
