Anna Gutto won the 2016 Zaki Gordon Award for Excellence in Screenwriting for her feature script PARADISE HIGHWAY (selected by Dan Gordon, writer of Passenger, 57, The Hurricane). The film will be Gutto's directorial debut; it is produced by Brandi Savitt of Senza Pictures.
Gutto started her career in the theater earning accolades such as “universally excellent” in The New York Times. Her short film A LUCKY MAN is an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation winner. Her short MOMMY HEIST has been playing festivals internationally and domestically (most recently at Academy Award-nominating Hollyshorts Film Festival in Los Angeles), and is expanding into a series.
Gutto is attached to direct the film adaptation of New York Times bestseller Radical Remission (Harper, 2014). She is co-writing two episodes for the TV series M.A.D. Gutto also directs commercials and music videos. She is represented by APA Agency.
