David Barba

David Barba was born and raised in Mexico. He holds an MFA in Film Direction from the Columbia University School of the Arts. His films XP-recipient of a Sloan Foundation Production Grant-and Adiós, para siempre, have screened around the world and garnered several festival awards. David is creator of the television series Be Good Johnny Weir which had its first season on SundanceTV and writer and director of the documentary Anatomy of a Male Ballet Dancer about Brazillian dancer Marcelo Gomes.
