David McCracken
Director/Writer David McCracken recently earned his MFA in Film & Television Production at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. While in the program, he wrote and directed numerous projects, including an advanced graduate film called Ostrichland, which the school selected him to direct. He was also the 2011 recipient of the prestigious James Bridges Memorial Scholarship. While at USC, McCracken spent nearly three years directing, writing, and producing the feature film Daylight. He used his resources and connections in his hometown of Evansville, IN, to raise funds, shoot in over 30 locations, and cast over 50 actors. McCracken has also interned at Lions Gate as 2nd Assistant to Alli Shearmur, the Head of Motion Pictures, and at Valhalla Motion Pictures for producer Gale Anne Hurd. In addition to his MFA from USC, he has an MA in Creative Writing from Ball State University and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Evansville.
