Keith Hedlund
Originally from Minneapolis, Keith Hedlund's love of movies developed over cold winters, when conversation there is rare (to conserve warm air) but the imagination burns brightly. A writer and director, Keith is finishing up his MFA at UCLA's School of Theatre, Film & Television, where his work earned an Edie and Lew Wasserman Fellowship, a Joel Siegel Award, an MPAA Production Award, and—for his documentary, The State That I Live In—a Mary Pickford Prize. His thesis film, Homecoming, is in post production. Among the feature-length screenplays he has written is his in-progress work, Row Your Boat. Keith also holds an MFA in creative writing from Brown University and a BA in religious studies from Williams College. He has worked as a private detective's assistant and is a former ice cream man. Keith Hedlund was awarded a Screenwriting grant at UCLA in 2011 for Negative Gs
