Maureen Geralyn Johnson
Raised in San Francisco, Maureen worked as a lawyer and a law professor before joining the UCLA MFA Screenwriting Program, where she earned her degree in Winter 2009. While at UCLA, Maureen twice was one of the winners of the UCLA Screenwriters Showcase. She's earned several other awards and contest placements, including being a double-semifinalist in the 2009 Nicholl's Screenplay Competition. In 2008, she received notification she was in the top 10% of the competition. Maureen is interested in both television and features. In 2007, a spec comedy script landed in the top 5% of submissions for the 2007 Warner Bros. Television Workshop. Maureen brings to the table a wide range of life experience, such as bartending and playing in an all-girl rock band, and a fun array of odd jobs, including delivering balloons for a living. She'd like to think she's not going to
have to go back to that . . .
