Tim Kirkman
Tim Kirkman received Emmy, Gotham, GLAAD and Independent Spirit Award nominations for his first film, the documentary Dear Jesse. In 2005, Loggerheads, which he wrote and directed, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival before its national theatrical release and received numerous awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at Outfest. He has just completed an original screenplay for Kitty Hawk, a feature length biopic about Wilbur and Orville Wright and is developing a television series, Miss American Pie, based on Margaret Sartor’s memoir. He also teaches screenwriting in the MPW Program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Tim Kirkman was awarded the Sloan Development Fund at the Tribeca Film Institute in 2008 for Kitty Hawk
