Rebecca Nesvet
Rebecca Nesvet's plays have been produced in the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada, and have won many awards. These include, for science history-inspired drama The Shape Shifter, First Place in the Association for Theater in Higher Education Playworks, First Place in the Arch and Bruce Brown Playwriting Competition, nominations for Best Original Writing and Most Outstanding Production in the Desert Theater League (California) Desert Star Awards; and for The Speed of Light, Finalist status in the Magic Theatre (San Francisco)’s Sloan competition for science-themed plays. Rebecca is a 2008 graduate of the MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU, where she won a Sloan Feature Screenplay Writing Grant, the Department of Dramatic Writing Screenplay Competition, Finalist status in the Fusion Film Festival Graduate Feature Screenplay competition, and the Department of Dramatic Writing Chair’s Award. She is employed as a Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Gloucestershire in England.
