Matthew Bird
Matthew Bird was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and went to Earlham College in Richmond, IN, majoring in English Lit. He then spent many years delivering pizzas while making ambitious DIY films with his tip money. One of these films, Menace, got into several festivals and won him a fellowship to attend Columbia University, where heʼs completing his MFA in Screenwriting. At Columbia, Matt quickly bonded with professor Jamal Joseph over a shared love of quixotic causes and Jamal became his screenwriting mentor. Matt and his lovely wife Betsy are moving from New York to Los Angeles in May of 2009. Mattʼs screenwriting manager is Lawrence Mattis at Circle of Confusion.
