Marcella Steingart
Marcella Steingart received her M.F.A. from the Graduate Film Program at New York University’s Tiwch School of the Arts. While there she was awarded the Ang Lee Scholarship, and her thesis short film, Meta, went on to appear in over 40 film festivals. Meta also won best narrative short at several festivals, including the Lower East Side Film Festival, Carolina Film Festival, as well as runner-up at the Moondance Film Festival and Rochester Film Festival. Her screenplay Larvae was a quarter-finalist for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl Fellowship. She has worked as a producer on various documentary television series and feature films for Trio, Discovery Channel, and the BBC. Currently, Steingart is working on a documentary series, Iconoclasts, which will air on the Sundance Channel in November. She graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University where she received her B.A. and majored in Philosophy and Asian Studies.
