Mary F. Unser
Mary F. Unser is a graduate playwright of Carnegie Mellon.She was a finalist for the CMU Sloan screenplay competition and won the CMU Sloan teleplay competition with Love Chance, which was taped in May 2005 and will air later this year on PBS. Additionally, her 10-minute play Belly was accepted into The KCACTF Region II and her full-length The Only Gift was chosen as part of The 2005 Summer New Play Festival. Before graduate school, Unser’s play Temporaria won the Perishable Theater’s Women’s Playwriting Festival and was a finalist for the Actors Theater of Louisville’s 10-minute play festival. She is currently at work on a full-length play about vengeance, redemption and Kitty Genovese. Unser is a member of the Ensemble Studio Theater (NYC) and Actor’s Equity Association and holds a B.A. in Biology. Mary F. Unser was awarded a Production grant at Carnegie Mellon in 2005 for Love Chance and a Screenwriting grant at Carnegie Mellon in 2006 for The Ecdysiasts.
