Joseph Raso
Joseph Raso was born and raised in Toronto. He studied literature at McGill University in Montreal, where he also wrote and produced several plays. He recently graduated with a M.F.A. film degree from Columbia University’s School of the Arts in New York City. During his studies Raso wrote, produced, and directed numerous short films. His thesis short film Groomed has played in dozens of festivals and has received many awards, and he wrote three seasons of animated television for 4 Kids Entertainment (Fox Box). Recently Raso’s feature screenplay, Orgy, received the Best Comedy Screenplay Award from Script Magazine. He is currently finishing the screenplay for the feature length version of his comedy Groomed. Joseph Raso was awarded a Screenwriting grant at Columbia in 2004 for Notes in the Margins
