Bill Balas
Bill Balas received his M.F.A. from the American Film Institute Conservatory in June 2005. During his time at the AFI, Balas managed to work both as a writer and as a writer/director, completing a total of seven short films in less than two years. His portfolio includes produced short screenplays such as The Usual Muppets and The Pros and Cons of Breathing. He produced short films such as Undiscovered Country, an emotional epic shot in 35mm anamorphic widescreen, Reunion, a gritty character-driven drama that premiered at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival in September 2005 and House of the Rising Sun, a spooky action thriller now in post-production. Currently, Bill is working as a freelance script doctor and shopping a feature version of The Pros and Cons of Breathing, which he hopes to direct.
