Letters to the Lobotomist Adam Weissman

The script is based on the true story of medical doctor Walter Freeman who spent his professional life performing lobotomies, believing he could cure mental patients with a procedure he developed. His obsession with his own skills and brilliance isolated him from his family and much of the medical community. Ultimately, he took to the road with his Lobotomobile to demonstrate his procedure to doctors and patients throughout the country. This script depicts a man who was convinced that he was doing the right thing even though he was often accused of being a charlatan.
