The Last Harvest Daniel Kaufman

Leningrad, Russia, 1941. The Russian seed bank is the greatest in the world. It contains the DNA for most plants around the world past and present. Its scientific value is beyond compare. During the famous yearlong siege of Leningrad, the scientists all hide in the seed bank. As they get slowly starved out, they face the choice of saving themselves by eating the seeds, or saving the seed bank.
