Tarik Karam

Tarik Karam is a filmmaker based in New York. After graduating from the American Film Institute, he worked side by side with director Stephen Daldry, co-producing and Second Unit directing the Oscar nominated films “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” and “The Reader.” In 2013, Tarik shot a short film entitled “ZZZZZZZ,” about two sleepwalkers in love, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and has gone on to play at many other festivals around the country. In late 2014, Tarik completed “What They Left Behind,” a film chronicling the lives of three families who have lost children to gun violence in America. The 30-minute documentary picked up numerous awards and was released on Netflix.
