Edgar Mendoza
Edgar Mendoza is a two-time recipient of the Schubert Foundation Fellowship Award at Carnegie Mellon University. His screenplay, The Unifying Theory, was awarded the $10,000 prize in the 2008 Alfred P. Sloan competition. His plays have been produced in Los Angeles and San Jose. He will receive his MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon in May of 2009. Prior to graduate school, he served as a constituent representative for United States Senator Barbara Boxer, and California State Senator Liz Figueroa. Edgar is a graduate of UCLA and holds a B.A. in Political Science. Edgar is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Inc. and lives in Pittsburgh.
