Nidhi Verghese
Nidhi Verghese was born and raised in India. She worked as a copy writer for two years at Ogilvy & Mather, India before she fell in love with an Iranian movie called Children of Heaven and decided to come to Los Angeles to get an MFA in Screenwriting at the American Film Institute (AFI). Her first screenplay titled Life in a Box won the Alfred P Sloan Award 2007. Her second screenplay titled Jallianwala Bagh won the Bronze Prize in the Page International Screenwriting Awards 2008. She likes to write strong, character-driven stories with a lot of heart. Nidhi Verghese was awarded a Screenwriting grant at AFI in 2007 for Life in a Box
