Kevin Christopher Snipes is a playwright based in New York City. New York productions with Ensemble Studio Theatre include A Bitter Taste, Snips & Snails, and Brightly Packaged Things. Regional productions include Party Lights (Secret Rose Theatre, LA), Virgin Rock (I) (Pittsburgh New Plays Festival), and The Procreation of Amoebas and the Meaning of Life (Hippodrome Theatre, FL). Virgin Rock (II) was named Best Play of the Riant Theatre’s 2005 One-Act Festival and subsequently published in The Best Plays from the Riant Strawberry One-Act Festival: Volume 3. Snipes is the co-creator of Valerie the Roboceptionist, the world’s first storytelling robot receptionist, formerly on display at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Computer Science.
