Anya Meksin is a Russian-born filmmaker whose short film Berated Woman was nationally broadcast on the Logo Network as part of The Click List: Best in Short Film. Her recent documentary on drug use and HIV in Eastern Europe was funded by the Soros Open Society Institute, and she is also the recipient of a production grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation for her upcoming film on social robotics. Her writing and photography have been published in Bright Lights Film Journal, The Kafka Project, and the Yale Literary Magazine. Anya received her Bachelors degree in Literature from Yale University and is currently an MFA candidate in the Columbia University Film Division, where she also teaches an undergraduate lab in filmmaking.
