Synapse Lisa Robinson

The film Synapse is the story of Sacha, a young woman who becomes fascinated by neuroscience and tries to apply some of its theories to her family and romantic problems. Her vivid imagination helps in this endeavor, enabling her efforts to "simulate" her long-distance boyfriend, Daniel, and ease her through the pain of watching as her father's mind becomes weakened by strokes. When her fantasies collide with reality and her world starts to fall apart, Sacha is forced to get out of her head and engage the world and the people around her.
