Mme. Curie Elizabeth Cotone

The story begins at the point that Mme. Curie's husband, Pierre, is killed in a traffic accident, and then tracks her efforts to be recognized by the French scientific community for her own discoveries, particularly with identifying radium. Although she ultimately receives a second Nobel Prize, she is never admitted to the Royal Academy of Sciences. The script also explores Mme. Curie's personal life with her children, friends, enemies and a new love.
