Wade Myers

Wade Myers, M.D. is Professor at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Director of Forensic Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at Rhode Island Hospital. Prior to moving to Rhode Island in 2009, he was Professor and Chief of the Division of Forensic Psychiatry at the University of South Florida Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. Dr. Myers is the author of roughly 90 scientific publications and one book, Juvenile Sexual Homicide. His primary research interests are in the areas of juvenile and adult homicide, and sexual homicide. In addition to his academic activities, he has maintained a steady forensic psychiatry practice for over 20 years. Through this practice he has served as a forensic psychiatry consultant in multiple states and testified in hundreds of cases involving children and adults in criminal and civil issues. He has also volunteered over the years as a consultant to law enforcement, primarily on homicide cases, and he continues to serve as a Member of the Hillsborough County Homicide Cold Case Team in Florida.
