John R. Baker
John R. Baker is from rural North Carolina. A bona fide computer nerd and film enthusiast, he experimented with digital filmmaking at a young age and won awards for his short films. He attended North Carolina State University to study computer engineering and completed a degree in film studies. After a short career as a computer specialist, John was accepted to the American Film Institute’s screenwriting graduate program. John resides in Los Angeles where he is a screenwriter and dreams of motorcycles and cigarettes. John R. Baker was awarded a Screenwriting grant at AFI in 2004 for SOLID2D and in 2005 for Matatoro: The Bull Killer
