Lisa Robinson works as a screenwriter and director. Robinson received her M.F.A. from New York University’s Graduate Film Directing Program in 2000. She has written and directed three short films (Breaker, Headstand, and Heads, Tires, & Other Studies) that have screened at film festivals around the world including Cannes-Directors Fortnight, Telluride, Edinburgh and Clermont Ferrand. Her writing includes an IMAX project Mind Blast for the Blue Man Group that is in development. Her web series, Sparks, co-created with Annie Howell, is syndicated by the Sundance Channel. Her feature project Synapse received the Sloan Foundation Feature Production Award and is in development with Salty Features. She is the recipient of the Martin E. Segal Prize, the Mitsubishi Digital Media Lab Award for Excellence, and a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship.
Lisa Robinson was awarded a Feature Production grant at NYU in 2002 for Synapse and won the Feature Film award at The Hamptons International Film Festival in 2011 for Small, Beautifully Moving Parts
