While an MFA Directing Student at UCLA Etana Jacobson wrote on several major videogames, including Star Wars III and Lair, a Sony PlayStation-3 launch title. Through this and her Sloan Fellowship she gained representation by Nick Brondo at Union Entertianment in Los Angeles. In 2009 Etana was a Finalist for the Emmys Directing Professional Internship. She also co-directed a web campaign at Moviehatch.com, a movie incubator site, shooting at the production companies of Brett Ratner, Neil LaBute, Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher. Prior to UCLA she was a Content Producer at Centropolis Entertainment/Sony for Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin. She also was a producer on a pilot for the Sci Fi Channel, Exposure, which aired for two years. She has won the Edie and Lew Wasserman Fellowship, the Bill Lee Fellowship, the Jack Oakie Fellowship for Excellence in Comedy Directing, and the Motion Picture of America Award (two times). In 2007 she shot an docu-reality travel pilot in nine European countries for TravelCorp, the world’s biggest travel organization, and consequently became the voice of TravelCorp on their international DVD. She has directed several award-winning film shorts and video segments and is developing Elemental as a feature with Nick Brondo producing. Elemental is a romantic comedy about the biochemistry of love and addiction, namely through the mammalian bonding chemical, oxytocin. Currently she just submitted a paid pitch for UbiSoft, the videogame studio who created the game for Avatar and Prince of Persia.
