As a member of the Directors Guild of Canada, Dara Bratt has served as an assistant director in a variety of films from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, to the dramatic K-19 the Widowmaker. She is also in post-production for a feature length documentary film on the life of the controversial abortionist, Dr. Morgentaler, a project fiscally sponsored by the International Documentary Association. Bratt was also a recipient of the National Film Board FAP grant, and the production grant from the Independent Liaison of Filmmakers of Toronto for her documentary work and was awarded a grant from the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts & Sciences. Her short documentary Hello, Pickles? Was selected for several film festivals and won third place in the documentary category at FirstGlance Hollywood. Bratt is currently in New York attending the graduate program of film at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University.
